Full Description

(SU 03761736) Tumulus (NR). <2>

Round Barrow: (25) Bowl (03761736), on Pentridge Down, lies on the N.W. slope of a spur among 'Celtic' fields (Group (85), p. 118) (SU 01 NW 52) and actually within one of them (Plate 84). It is not clear from surface evidence if the barrow was built before or after the field had been laid out; the latter seems more likely. Diam. 50 ft., ht. 5 ft. <1, 3, 4>
