Plot 53.4 ST 96900185 South East of Badbury Rings. A ditch of V shaped profile, 1.3 m deep and 2.2 m wide was located by magnetometer and excavated in advance of construction. The fill comprised chalk rubble and chalk silts and the only finds consisted of several waste flakes and a fragment of a possible rotary quernstone. A gridded magnetometer survey over 40 m showed it running in a straight line East-West.
