Summary

Barrow on the summit of a low knoll is north of the sweetbriar drove. The barrow is visible as a ring ditch cropmark on aerial photographs and was digitally plotted from these sources by the Dorset Stour NMP project.

Full Description

A barrow (ST 96540139), on the summit of a low knoll N of Sweetbrier Drove, appears as a ring ditch on an air photograph. <1>

The barrow is visible as a ring ditch cropmark on aerial photographs <2-3>. The feature is approximately 12.6m in diameter to include a 1.1m wide ditch.

The site is still fields under crop on current Google Earth imagery. The feature is visible in 2002 (4). It was digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.
