Summary

The site of a Bronze Age round barrow, is visible as a cropmark ring-ditch on aerial photographs to the north of Horton Inn, Horton. The ring ditch is 26m across and was digitally plotted during the Dorset Stour NMP.

Full Description

Two further ring ditches visible on air photographs at 'B' - SU 01600872 and 'C' - SU 01670870 which may be ploughed down barrows. <1>

No traces of barrows `B' or `C'. <2>

No obvious trace of the barrows `A', `B', or `C', seen in 2001, and not recommended for scheduling. Ground photos with archive reports. <4>

The site of a Bronze Age round barrow is visible as a cropmark ring-ditch on aerial photographs to the north of Horton Inn, Horton <4>. The ring ditch is 26m across and was digitally plotted during the Dorset Stour NMP. It appears to be cut on its eastern side by the linear described in MDO40087.
