Full Description

Five fragments of a gold amulet found in a field called REEKS (?RICKS) near Pilford Farm, in 1864. Treasure Trove in Brit. Museum 1865-4-11,(centred at: SU 04350199). <1>

The area centred at (SU 04420216) is known as RICKS MOOR. I know of no field by that name <2.1>. I have no knowledge of REEKS or RICKS FARM or MOOR <2.2>.

No further information regarding this name now obtained during fieldwork. Tithe and Estate maps were not available.<3>
