Summary

Bowl barrow east of Drive Plantation, one of a large group around the Dorset Cursus. In 1975 this monument was reported as being around 55 feet in diameter and much reduced by ploughing, with a mound less than one foot high.

Full Description

A bowl barrow, one of a scattered group located in Drive Plantation just south of the Dorset Cursus (Linear 41). Listed by RCHME as Gussage All Saints 40 and by Grinsell as Gussage All Saints 7, it was described by RCHME as a mound levelled by ploughing but formerly measured at 55 feet in diameter and less than 1 foot high. This barrow was formerly described as part of SU 01 NW 73. That record should be consulted for additional sources and information. <1-2>
