Summary

A Bronze Age bowl barrow, approximately 32m in diameter and 3 meters high. The barrow is visible as a low banked earthwork within woodland to the northeast of St Giles's Park. The feature was digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.

(15) BOWL BARROW (04621155), among trees, on a broad flat-topped Chalk ridge, lies at about 230 ft. above O.D. beside the Cranborne-Wimborne road; diam. 100 ft., ht. 11 ft. <4>

The barrow is visible as a low banked 32m in diameter earthwork within woodland to the northeast of St Giles's Park on a 1989 aerial photograph <5>. The feature was digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.
