Monument record MDO5535 - Medieval or Post-Medieval Ponds at Mill Copse, Edmondsham

Please read our .

Summary

Three rectangular ponds, once separated by banks. In form, these earthworks appear to have been fish ponds, probably medieval. However, the place name raises the possibility that they may have been mill ponds. The pond structures are partially visible on lidar imagery and were digitally plotted during the Dorset Stour NMP.
