Full Description

'Cranborne, 'Sinodun', Grug's Lane SU 0513. A communication from T. B. Greatrex, in 1981 stated 'We have recently acquired some old thatched cottages, built around 1600. During some earth moving we found what looks like a brick-lined well, beautifully domed - but with a hole in the top just big enough for a man to get through'. This latter point makes it almost certainly an icehouse.' (1)
