Monument record MDO5391 - Round barrow on parish boundary between Alderholt and Verwood

Round barrow on the parish boundary between Alderholt and Verwood. In woodland and possibly destroyed. No recent information. The mutilated mound is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1946, it was plotted during the Dorset Stour NMP.

This barrow has been almost completely destroyed by a Forestry Commission track and is visible only as a slight unsurveyable mound 7.0 metres in diameter by 0.1 metres high on the trackway. <2>

Former barrow, destroyed by cultivation. <3>
