Full Description
Part of a banked field system in Ivers Wood, Woolland, is visible as earthworks on 1940s aerial photographs and current Environment Agency lidar imagery (RAF 1945; EA 2018). The field system extends along the north facing slope of Ivers Wood and beyond to the west, curving northwards following the slope. It is probably later prehistoric in date, although might include later or re-used elements; at the northeastern end the field system merges with areas of medieval ridge and furrow (MDO50563) and later, medieval, strip lynchets (MDO5379). It was digitally plotted during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project.
