Monument record MDO51451 - Possible medieval to post-medieval farmstead, White House Farm, Holnest

A rectangular building within a rectilinear enclosure is recorded south of White House Farm, Holnest, on the OS Epoch 1 and 2 6" to the mile maps published in 1888 and 1903. Removed field boundaries in the field to the north in 1888 suggest an area of possible medieval strip field. The enclosure is visible on a 1947 aerial photograph, the building demolished by that time. The enclosure and removed field boundaries are visible as earthworks on lidar imagery.
