Monument record MDO51326 - Medieval or later pond, Flamberts Farm, Hilfield

Historic pond in a field to the north of Flamberts Farm, Hilfield, shown on the OS Epoch 1 6" to the mile map published in 1888, visible as a shallow dry earthwork on aerial photographs dated 1947 and 1972. A linear hollow way leads towards the pond from the NW corner of the field and a smaller pond, visible on aerial photographs and satellite and lidar imagery. Two mounds flank this hollow way, recorded as possible spoil heaps, perhaps Bronze Age barrows (MDO1237) but confidence in this is low. They might be spoil heaps relating to the pond and hollow way but this is uncertain.
