Monument record MDO51220 - Medieval or later corn mill, mill pool and leats, Withyhook Farm, Leigh

Two sections of a former mill leat associated with Withyhook Corn Mill, now part of Withyhook Farm, are visible as earthworks on lidar imagery. The Corn mill, leat and sluices are shown on the OS Epoch 1 6" to the mile map, published in 1888, alongside a mill pond, which was located south of the corn mill, part of the present day farmhouse. The leat and pond is still visible on 1947 aerial photographs and the northern section is still extant on a 1972 aerial photograph.
