Summary
Linear banked and ditched boundaries are visible as earthworks to the south of Halfway House, Nether Compton, on lidar imagery. The features form large rectilinear plots that underlie the current field pattern and are likely to be part of a field system of at least medieval date, but potentially much earlier, perhaps of Iron Age to Romano-British origin.

Linear banked and ditched boundaries are visible as earthworks to the south of Halfway House, Nether Compton, on lidar imagery. The features form large rectilinear plots that underlie the current field pattern and are likely to be part of a field system of at least medieval date, but potentially much earlier, perhaps of Iron Age to Romano-British origin (EA 2022).
