Summary
Linear banked and ditched boundaries are visible as earthworks to the south of Halfway House, Nether Compton, on lidar imagery. The features form large rectilinear plots that underlie the current field pattern and are likely to be part of a field system of at least medieval date, but potentially much earlier. It is not clear how these features relate, if at all, to the two smaller enclosures visible as cropmarks at the same location (MDO43767 and MDO43768).

Linear banked and ditched boundaries are visible as earthworks to the south of Halfway House, Nether Compton, on lidar imagery. The features form large rectilinear plots that underlie the current field pattern and are likely to be part of a field system of at least medieval date, but potentially much earlier. It is not clear how these features relate, if at all, to the two smaller enclosures visible as cropmarks at the same location (MDO43767 and MDO43768) (EA 2022).
