Full Description
A series of curvilinear banked lynchets are visible as earthworks to the west of Sherborne on lidar and satellite imagery and aerial photographs. The features potentially form part of a medieval field system, some corresponding with now removed field boundaries present on the OS Epoch 1 6 inch to the mile map published in 1887 (OS 1887. A small area of possible ridge and furrow is also visible in the southwest corner of the area (DC 1947; EA 2022; GE 2009; GE 2020).
