Full Description
A series of narrow strip lynchets either side of a long narrow coombe at Coombe Farm, Castleton, are visible as earthworks on lidar and satellite imagery and aerial photographs. The features appear to continue similar earthworks to the west, south of the present-day farm, recorded as the site of a deserted medieval settlement (MDO43762) (DC 1972; EA 2022; GE 2020).
