Full Description
Part of an early field system to the north of Oborne is visible as earthworks on lidar and satellite imagery. Towards the northern extent, on a break of slope, are banked lynchets that might also form part of this field system. Some of the features underlie the historic field boundary pattern and could be later prehistoric in origin, but a medieval date for some of these features is also possible (EA 2022; GE 2014).
