Summary

An early field system to the northeast of Oborne is visible as earthworks on lidar imagery. The features continue southwards along the east side of Oborne and underlie historic field boundaries and the current road layout. The field system potentially continues eastwards of the main road east of Oborne (MDO50957). The field system is probably of later prehistoric date, although might include some medieval earthworks within this.

An early field system to the northeast of Oborne is visible as earthworks on lidar imagery. The features continue southwards along the east side of Oborne and underlie historic field boundaries and the current road layout. The field system potentially continues eastwards of the main road east of Oborne (MDO50957). The field system is probably of later prehistoric date, although might include some medieval earthworks within this (EA 2022).
