Monument record MDO5091 - Ring ditch, Tarrant Launceston

A ring ditch visible as a crop mark on oblique aerial photographs taken by Francesca Radcliffe. Interpreted as the probable remains of a Bronze Age round barrow.

There appears to have been some confusion over the grid reference as the aerial photographs cited as source <1> actually show the round barrows recorded as ST 91 SE 7, 57, 100 and 191 (UIDs: 210011, 210101, 210144 and 1305012). <4>

Alternatively, since the area was extensively examined by the Piggotts in 1938, it must have been ploughed out by then. Not visible on the ground and not recommended for scheduling.
