Full Description
A small plot of ridge and furrow earthworks are visible in 2022 DTM LiDAR imagery to the rear of Beech Cottage, Nether Compton. The plots are shown as orchards on historic OS maps, although by 1947 the trees had been removed; the ridge and furrow earthworks are faintly visible as earthworks in these APs. The earthworks are considered more likely to represent early earthworks preserved by the later orchard, than later planting trenches. <1-4>
