Full Description
An historic pond is visible as an earthwork to the northeast of Nether Compton, on 2022 composite DTM lidar imagery (EA 2022). The pond is recorded on the OS Epoch 1 25 inch map published in 1887 (OS 1887). <1-2>
Due to dense vegetation the current state of the pond is not discernable from satellite imagery, however it is not shown on current OS mapping and is presumably now dry. A water course is still shown as running alongside however. <3-4>
