Monument record MDO50802 - Possible building platform, undated, Anchor Farm, Trent

A shallow rectilinear hollow is visible as an earthwork on 2022 composite DTM lidar imagery inside and against the northern field boundary of a field just south of Anchor Farm. The Ordnance Survey map published in 1811 shows a group of buildings at the location of Anchor Farm, possibly indicating a once larger settlement. The buildings are not shown on the 1:25-inch scale Ordnance Survey map published in 1877. Whilst no buildings are shown on these sources on the south side of the stream, the hollow feature might be a historic building platform, date unknown.

Whilst no buildings are shown on these sources on the south side of the stream, the hollow feature might be a historic building platform, date unknown.
