Monument record MDO50743 - Iron Age/Romano-British pits, Barges Close, Litton Cheney

Summary
Two pits recorded by Context One in 2015 during evaluation of a site proposed for development. Pit [109] was more substantial with a more complex fills; the upper filling contained Middle to Late Iron Age pottery and Late Iron Age/Romano-British material. Pit [106] also contained Late Iron Age/Romano-British material. A feature thought likely to be a post-hole and another feature of uncertain nature were noted nearby but not excavated.
