Summary

A ditch recorded by Context One in 2015 during evaluation of a site proposed for development. Ditch [304] was cut into the filling of an earlier ditch of prehistoric date, and appeared to lie on the alignment of a field boundary shown on historical maps as early as 1812. The filling of the ditch appeared to have come from up slope, and contained pottery, flint and animal bone. The pottery spanned the Roman period.
