Full Description
A row of three rectangular structures are visible on 1945 aerial photographs within a field bordering the road at Bottom Ground, Winterborne Houghton (RAF 1945). The structures are similar in appearance and arrangement to others positioned along the roadsides close to the radio telegraphy station on Bulbarrow Hill (MDO42570) and are considered to be potentially military in origin and associated with that site, possibly as some form of security and or observation posts. The features were digitally recorded during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project.
Royal Air Force, 27-MAR-1945, RAF/106G/LA200 FS 2067 (Aerial Photograph). SDO21688.
