Full Description

A Bronze Age bowl barrow, part of the Culliford Tree barrow group, a dispersed linear group of barrowa ranged along part of the Dorset Ridgeway. Listed by Grinsell as Broadmayne 7a and by RCHME as Broadmayne 28, its identification as a barrow is by no means certain. Ordnance Survey fieldwork in 1979 recorded a low mound circa 18 metres in diameter and 0.3 metres high. RCHME had suggested the presence of a possible ditch, although none was observed by the Ordnance Survey. <1-3>
