Summary

An archaeological evaluation in 1999 of a site proposed for development revealed subsoil archaeological deposits over most of the site. There was limited evidence to date individual features, but clear indications of a late Iron Age/Romano-British settlement in the central part of the site, and of more dispersed medieval activity.
