Summary

Curvilinear banked and ditched features to the northwest of Leigh Farm, Ibberton, are visible as earthworks on 1940s aerial photographs and Environment Agency lidar imagery. The features appear to pre-date the historic field pattern and could be field boundaries of medieval date, possibly incorporating a later trackway. They were digitally recorded during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project.

Full Description

Curvilinear banked and ditched features to the northwest of Leigh Farm, Ibberton, are visible as earthworks on 1940s aerial photographs and Environment Agency lidar imagery (RAF 1945; RAF 1947; EA 2018). The features appear to pre-date the historic field pattern and could be field boundaries of medieval date, possibly incorporating a later trackway. They were digitally recorded during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project.
