Monument record MDO50642 - Possible medieval field boundaries, Ibberton

Curvilinear banked features to the northwest of Ibberton are visible as earthworks on 1940s aerial photographs and Environment Agency lidar imagery. The features appear to pre-date the historic field pattern and could be field boundaries of medieval date, some potentially forming part of a former strip field system. Some features correspond with post medieval drainage features, possibly re-used during the post medieval period or alternatively later features contemporary with the drainage systems. The features were digitally recorded during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project.
