Full Description
Fragments of a medieval and later field system to the northeast of Marsh Farm, Ibberton, are visible as banked and ditched earthworks on 1940s aerial photographs and Environment Agency lidar imagery (RAF 1945; RAF 1947; EA 2018). The features comprise possible curvilinear field boundaries, which might have been part of an area of medieval strip field, alongside fragments of ridge and furrow cultivation of possible medieval or later date. The features were digitally recorded during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project.
