A small sub-circular hollow to the southeast of Fox Alder's Copse is visible as a ditched earthwork on 1940s aerial photographs and current Environment Agency lidar imagery (RAF 1945; EA 2018). The feature could be a post medieval chalk pit or possibly a pond and was digitally recorded during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project.
