Summary

Banked linear features to the northwest of Chitcombe Farm are visible as earthworks on Environment Agency lidar imagery. The features are of unknown origin but possibly pre-date part of a medieval field system in this area, suggesting they could be earlier features, possibly field boundaries of later prehistoric date. They were digitally recorded during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project.

Banked linear features to the northwest of Chitcombe Farm are visible as earthworks on Environment Agency lidar imagery (EA 2018). The features are of unknown origin but possibly pre-date part of a medieval field system in this area, suggesting they could be earlier features, possibly field boundaries of later prehistoric date. They were digitally recorded during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project.
