A post medieval chalk pit is visible as an irregular ditched earthwork to the southwest of Ibberton Long Down, Ibberton, on 1940s aerial photographs and Environment Agency lidar imagery. The feature is recorded as a chalk pit on the OS Epoch 1 25 inch map and was digitally plotted during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project.
