Summary

Fragments of a medieval field system on the north side of Ibberton are visible as banked earthworks on 1940s aerial photographs and current Environment Agency lidar imagery. The features include several former strip field boundaries, ridge and furrow cultivation and possibly part of a former trackway. They were digitally recorded during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project.

Fragments of a medieval field system on the north side of Ibberton are visible as banked earthworks on 1940s aerial photographs and current Environment Agency lidar imagery (RAF 1947; RAF 1947; EA 2018). The features include several former strip field boundaries, ridge and furrow cultivation and possibly part of a former trackway. They were digitally recorded during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project.
