Summary

Banked and ditched linear features on either side of Belchalwell Street on Ibberton Hill, Ibberton, are visible as earthworks on 1940s aerial photographs and current Environment Agency lidar imagery. The features are thought to probably be field boundaries associated with part of a field system of possible later prehistoric -Iron Age to Roman - date and were digitally recorded during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project.

Banked and ditched linear features on either side of Belchalwell Street on Ibberton Hill, Ibberton, are visible as earthworks on 1940s aerial photographs and current Environment Agency lidar imagery (RAF 1948; EA 2018). The features are thought to probably be field boundaries associated with part of a field system of possible later prehistoric -Iron Age to Roman - date. The road truncates the features and clearly post-dates them. They were digitally recorded during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project.
