Full Description
Fragments of linear banked field boundaries on the northeast end of Woolland Hill are visible as narrow regular earthworks on 1940s aerial photographs and current Environment Agency lidar imagery (RAF 1945; RAF 1948; EA 2018). The features are clear on an aerial photograph of 1948, less distinct but faintly detectable on an aerial photograph of 1945 (RAF 1945; RAF 1948). They are probably post medieval or perhaps earlier in origin and were digitally plotted during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project.
