Summary

Bank and ditched linear features are visible as earthworks on lidar imagery within Coombe Plantation, Milton Abbas. Some of the features are marked on the OS 1st edition map, they are all considered likely to be post medieval woodland boundaries; they were digitally recorded during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM Project.

Full Description

Bank and ditched field boundaries are visible as earthworks on lidar imagery crossing the steep south west facing slopes to the west of Coombe Plantation. The features overlie the cultivation marks described in MDO50522 and are considered to be of post medieval date; they were digitally recorded during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM Project.
