Monument record MDO50537 - Iron Age or Roman field system, Milton Abbas

The remains of a highly fragmented banked field system are visible as very low earthworks on lidar imagery in multiple fields to the south west of East Luccombe Farm, Milton Abbas. The system is considered likely to be of Iron Age or Roman origin although traces of potential strip fields may indicate reuse in the medieval period. The features cover an area of over 70 ha and continue to the north in MDO50536; they were digitally recorded during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project.
