Full Description
Fragments of a banked and ditched field system are visible as earthworks on lidar imagery under trees within Pigeon House Plantation, Milton Abbas. The boundaries are of uncertain date, they may be of medieval or post medieval origin being in the vicinity of St Catherine's Chapel (MDO9041) however an earlier Iron Age or Roman origin for some of the features is possible. The features cover an area of over 13 ha and extend to the east in MDO 50533; they were digitally recorded during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project.
