Full Description
Fragments of a banked and ditched field system are visible as cropmarks and low earthworks on aerial photographs and lidar imagery in fields to the northwest of Catherine's Well, Milton Abbas. The boundaries are considered likely to be of Iron Age or Roman origin although some may have been reused in the medieval or post medieval periods. The features cover an area of over 18 ha and extend to the west into Pigeon House Wood (see MDO50534), and to the south (MDO43618); they were digitally recorded during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project.
