Summary

Fragments of a bank and ditched field system are visible as low earthworks and soilmarks on aerial photographs and lidar imagery in fields to the north west of Little Hewish Farm, Milton Abbas. The features are considered to be of later prehistoric origin but are likely to have been reused in the medieval period; they cover an area of 19 ha and were digitally recorded during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM Project.

Fragments of a bank and ditched field system are visible as low earthworks and soilmarks on aerial photographs and lidar imagery in fields to the north west of Little Hewish Farm, Milton Abbas. The features are considered to be of later prehistoric origin but are likely to have been reused in the medieval period; they cover an area of 19 ha and were digitally recorded during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM Project.
