Summary

Part of a banked field system within Ochill Wood, Winterborne Houghton, is visible as earthworks on current Environment Agency lidar imagery. The features cover an area of around 13ha and are considered to be later prehistoric in origin; they appear to continue a field system of Iron Age to Roman date to the east, recorded under MDO5244. They were digitally recorded during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project.

Part of a banked field system within Ochill Wood, Winterborne Houghton, is visible as earthworks on current Environment Agency lidar imagery (EA 2018).The features cover an area of around 13ha and are considered to be later prehistoric in origin; they appear to continue a field system of Iron Age to Roman date to the east, recorded under MDO5244. They were digitally recorded during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project.
