Full Description
A rectilinear ditch-defined enclosure with associated trackways is visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs taken in 1995 in a field to the east of Chescombe Lane, Milton Abbas. The enclosure is 62m by 50m across with entrances to the west and east from which ditched-defined trackways emerge. The enclosure is considered likely to be of Iron Age or Roman origin, possibly a settlement enclosure or animal pound, it was digitally recorded during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM Project.
