Monument record MDO50504 - Undated field system, Chescombe Farm, Winterborne Whitechurch

Fragments of a banked field system are visible as low earthworks on lidar imagery in fields to the west of north east of Chescombe Farm, Winterborne Whitechurch.The features are possibly the remains of medieval strip fields however some of the boundaries are likely to have earlier prehistoric origin. The features cover an area of over 13 ha and were digitally recorded during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM Project.
