Full Description
A rectilinear ditch-defined enclosure is visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs taken in 1995 in a field to the west of Chescombe Farm, Winterborne Whitechurch. The enclosure is 60m by 55m across with a possible entrance facing south. There are traces of a central internal hollow. The enclosure is considered likely to be of Iron Age or Roman origin and lies within the field system described in MDO50504, it was digitally recorded during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM Project.
