Full Description
Fragments of a banked field system are visible as low earthworks on lidar imagery and cropmarks on aerial photographs in fields to the south of Winterborne Houghton village. The features are considered to be of later prehistoric origin and in places are overlain by the medieval strip fields described in MDO50470. The features cover an area of over 14 ha and were digitally recorded during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM Project.
