Full Description
Several shallow circular and irregular hollows within Rawlsbury Camp, Stoke Wake and Hilton, are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs and current Environment Agency lidar imagery (CCC undated; EA 2018). The features are thought likely to be post medieval chalk pits, although it is possible some are alternatively later prehistoric hut circles. They were digitally plotted during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project.
