Summary

A bowl barrow recorded as being 50 feet in diameter and 4 feet high, with a surrounding ditch. A hole has been dug into the top of the mound, possibly by an antiquarian. The barrow is visible as an earthwork on 1940s aerial photographs and current Environment Agency lidar imagery and was digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM project.

Full Description

Bowl barrow, 50 ft in diameter and 4 ft high, with a surrounding ditch. A hole has been dug in the centre of the mound. <1>

The barrow is visible as an earthwork on 1940s aerial photographs and current Environment Agency lidar imagery and was digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM project [4, 5].
